Services

From conceptualizing and planning to designing and construction, Under the Sun Aquatics is a full-service design-build Pennsylvania pool company. We are dedicated to building exquisite swimming pools designed to stand the test of time. No project is too big or too small, and whether you’re looking for something simple or want all the bells and whistles, we are committed to creating an outdoor environment that will wow your friends and family for years to come.

During our initial consultation, one of our experts will come to your home to understand your unique needs and preferences, and to walk you through the swimming pool building process. We put your ideas to work and draft a design layout of your new pool on your property, showing you the exact location and details of your new swimming pool.

Swimming Pool Installation

Learn more about the swimming pool construction process. Please note that the homeowner is responsible for all permits, and for contacting their local “utility location agency” prior to digging.

Layout & Design
Our approach to designing your new pool is collaborative and client centered. First, we draft a layout based on the needs and desires of your family. Once the written design is approved, we physically go over the design of your pool and backyard experience at the exact location of construction. At that time a visual approval is made, and paint is used to outline the perimeter of your pool to match the design concept prior to excavation.
1
Excavation
Our team will carefully excavate the space needed to install your new pool. Special attention will always be paid to protect your property during this process. The surrounding grades will be properly matched for a manicured finished product.
2
Pool Formation (Part 1)
There are different processes for pool formation, depending upon what type of pool is being installed. Sometimes forms are installed to create the perimeter of your pool to pour concrete walls. A steel-reinforcing grid is installed to give the pool strength. This will also reinforce the concrete/gunite that will form the pool floor. A stone sub-base is used prior to pouring the floor.
3
Pool Formation (Part 2)
Other times, a stone sub-base is applied for placement of your fiberglass pool without the use of concrete. In this case the stone is used to ensure the pool will be level prior to your fiberglass pool being installed.
3
Plumbing
The plumbing for the pool is installed for three reasons, to provide water to and from the pumps. To facilitate the necessary drainage for your pool functions and to relieve any underground hydraulic pressure that could affect your pool overtime. All plumbing is done carefully to ensure that no leaks or malfunctions occur.
4
Tile & Coping
The selected tile is hand-laid, and coping is installed. A two-foot perimeter of the outside of the pool is prepped with stone prior to the installation of a stamped concrete border unless another surface is chosen by owner. While the work surrounding the pool is being performed, the pool filtration system will be installed.
7
Finished Product
Congrats! You are now the proud owner of a brand new custom pool, designed with your tastes and lifestyle in mind. The construction process has been completed to exact specifications so that you can enjoy endless hours of swimming fun - right in your own backyard!

Above Ground Vinyl Pool Repair/Replacement

Under the Sun Aquatics offers new and replacement liners for vinyl pools. Liners come in a variety of patterns and embossed textures, giving your pool a fresh new look when you replace an old or damaged liner. There are several indicators that it may be time to change the vinyl liner of your in-ground pool. On average, vinyl pool liners last 8-12 years. If you see warning signs before that time, it is important to schedule an inspection. Indicators include:
  • Cracking and ripping Not all cracks means replacing your vinyl liner, but if a repair kit isn’t cutting it, or the tearing is extensive, it’s time to call about a replacement.
  • Water loss Water loss is an indicator of cracks or rips that cannot be seen below the waterline.
  • Stretching and wrinkles Groundwater issues can cause the liner to stretch, creating wrinkles and making the liner pull from the top track of the pool. If the problem is recurring, replacement is important to avoid further damage.
  • Fading and staining Fading and staining is an indicator of UV or chemical damage that makes the liner brittle and at risk of cracking.
Replacing the vinyl pool liner can take an average of three weeks from start to finish, as long as there are no complications. Once the pool is measured, the longest part of the replacement process is waiting for the liner to be ordered and shipped. After the liner has arrived, the pool is drained and the old liner is removed. As long as there are no major repair issues, the walls are washed and the floor is patched before the new liner is put in and vacuum sealed to the shell. The pool is refilled, chemically balanced and all the equipment reinstalled. Your backyard is now summer ready! Request a quote or contact us at (412) 580-9403 to schedule vinyl pool repair.

Stress relief is one of the most well-known benefits of having a hot tub. Immersing yourself in hot water can help relax muscles, reduce tension, and improve your overall mood. Studies have even shown that regular hot tub usage can help lower levels of cortisol, the hormone responsible for stress in the body. Taking a few moments each day to relax in your hot tub can be the perfect way to keep stress at bay.

Spending some time in a hot tub before bed can help you to get better sleep. The warmth of the water helps to relax your body and mind, making it easier to fall asleep. This can also help you stay asleep throughout the night, as hot tubs can help improve your circulation and reduce nighttime restlessness. By getting better sleep, you can wake up feeling refreshed and energized to take on the day ahead.

Taking a soak in your hot tub can help improve circulation throughout your body. The combination of heat and buoyancy helps increase blood flow, improving the delivery of oxygen to your organs and helping muscles recover faster. This can help alleviate soreness and tension, as well as reduce inflammation in your muscles and joints. Improved circulation can also lead to more energy throughout the day, which can help you stay productive and active.

Hot tubs can be a great source of pain relief for those with chronic conditions. The heat and buoyancy provide natural relief from aches, pains, and stiffness without the need for medications. Soaking in warm water can also help reduce inflammation, providing relief to those suffering from arthritis and other illnesses. Regular hot tub usage can help alleviate pain, making it easier to get through your day.

The combination of heat and massage can help your body naturally detoxify itself. This can help improve your overall well-being and keep your body free from toxins and impurities. As you relax in the hot tub, your body will sweat out toxins from your skin, allowing them to be washed away when you leave the tub. Detoxification helps to boost immunity, increase energy levels and improve mental clarity.

As your muscles relax and loosen in the hot tub, you can improve your flexibility. The warmth combined with light exercises can help stretch muscle fibers, giving them greater elasticity. Improved flexibility leads to better posture and movement, allowing you to become more agile and perform activities with ease. Hot tubs are a great way to maintain joint health and keep your body in top condition.

Hot tubs provide an ideal environment for your body to recover after a hard workout. The combination of heat and buoyancy helps muscles relax, allowing them to heal faster. Soaking in the hot tub can also reduce inflammation, helping you to get back into the gym sooner and stay active. Regular usage of hot tubs can help speed up recovery times after strenuous exercise, allowing you to keep up with your fitness routine.

Taking a break in your hot tub can be the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day. The warmth of the water helps to soothe away tension and stress, allowing you to drift off into a deep state of relaxation. With regular usage, hot tubs can help reduce anxiety levels and improve overall well-being. Enjoying some time in the hot tub can be the perfect way to de-stress and revive your mind and body.
